The New Elos N2
We take a look at a gun which offers it all from Fabarm....not only that but it all comes at a very attractive price tag!
Often when starting out shooting you will be advised of particular brands of guns to look at, such as Browning, Beretta, Miroku and many more. Manufacturers are always pushing their products further to meet the ever increasing demand of new shooters whilst retaining a very attractive and importantly affordable price bracket. Many people often look past particular models and are immediately drawn to familiar names but this isn’t always the best route to be taking. Perhaps think of the name Fabarm and what springs to mind?
Fabarm is a manufacturer that not everyone has heard of, but having been around since 1900 know a thing or two about shotguns. As you can expect like most Italian gun makers their reliability and build quality is very good and well respected. The newly launched and innovative Elos N2 is certainly an exciting new release to the market. So what does this model have?
This Fabarm certainly has some great ergonomics. The grip on both the stock and forend is comfortable and one that will suit most shooters with ease featuring a well shaped palm swell. A fully adjustable comb is always a welcome addition and provided as standard on this model, giving the shooter the opportunity to get the maximum with professional help in terms of gun fit. The Micro Metric 3D system on the comb allows the gun to be setup with ease and precision, getting the gun shooting exactly where desired. Small details such as the centre bead are also great to see on this gun, a feature that can greatly assist many people’s gun mount who are just getting into the sport.
Something you can’t see but the handling and balance of any gun is of great importance and this certainly doesn’t disappoint. The Elos N2 is responsive and easy to manoeuvre. It has a stable feel whilst retaining maximum comfortable for shooting a wide variety of clay targets. In addition to the balance the looks certainly don’t go a miss either. The shallow action which is responsible for this feel is finished in a matte blued colour complete with modern styled script. The action is then further complimented by woodwork which is well figured, something that can be difficult to come by on the shotgun market at times.
So overall a very pleasing release from the Fabarm name and certainly a lot of gun for your money as opposed to other choices on the market from fellow manufacturers. All of this comes in a well presented plastic ABS case with accessories and a full set of extended chokes at a very competitively priced £1,375. The only questions I’m sure you’ll ask ...... What barrel length do I order?
